About Me
Who am I?
I'm a current Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Waterloo advised by Dr. Laura Hug. Historically, my research has focused on the impacts of metal contamination on wetland and terrestrial plants and microbial communities. My focus is on biogeochemical cycling and the complex relationships among plants, microbes, and soil/water chemistry. Currently, in my postdoc, I'm working on microbial interactions and biogeochemical cycling in landfills.
I'm also extremely active in and out of the university community. I have sat on and led many committees on equity, mental health, and disability justice in academic institutions. I'm passionate about equitable access to education and I feel that that shines through in my teaching and research.
